After quite a bit of frustrating experimentation I seem to have it working. I was getting quite high LBT readings in comparison to my Yaesu FT-897D. Turns out the setting for SSB-D filter 1 was too narrow. It is set to 3.0 KHz now and the programs sounds without hanging on high LBT readings.
